Are You Ready to Relocate Your Office?

If you are planning to move office, you need to be prepared several months before the removal date. Otherwise, you can make this type of relocation rather stressful. The earlier you prepare, the easier it will be to set up a relocation plan.

Initiating a Relocation Plan

Moving office, lab, or warehouse needs a robust plan that will ensure that your relocation goes safely and smoothly. First, you have to look at the size of the relocation and figure out who to designate work to when planning the move.

That will take care of your in-office planning. Next, you need to contact a service that specialises in office removals in Melbourne. Doing so will give you that extra edge in making sure that everything goes as planned. When you contact an expert in the field, he or she will listen to your specific requests before drawing up a list of tasks that are specific to your removal requirements.

Developing a Customised Plan

Because each move is different, it must be tailored to a client’s specific relocation needs. That is why developing a custom plan will help you succeed at realising your relocation goals. Once you have contacted a relocation company, you can prepare your staff for the upcoming move. Pass out relocation preparation guides and explain the process so everyone is briefed.

The project supervisor is introduced to employees to act as the main person to contact for the relocation. A pre-relocation meeting is held that will further review the process. All packaging materials should be delivered about two weeks prior to the removal.

Packaging and packing will be reviewed as well as self-packing guidelines. Both the project supervisor for the move and the business manager will inspect any current defects and create a report. Finally, a project review is performed to determine any last-minute changes and communicated to everyone involved in the removal process.

Getting Ready to Relocate

Once all the above steps are performed, you can get ready to relocate. The relocation team for the company will be fully briefed on their specific tasks. They will also be notified of any hazards or requirements. Teams for the relocation take care of workstation disassembly, loading, and packing.
